Bazil fell very early into Jamaican music and soul. He records his rst songs at the age of 15. At age 19, he moved to New York to improve his English and frequent the Jamaican environment that makes him want to discover the island of Reggae he will join two years later. There, Bazil records his rst album «Stand Up Strong» which ranks, in France, second best-selling reggae album of 2011.
His story with Jamaica is just beginning. He records for the famous studio and label Tuff Gong the title «To- gether Tonight» for the soundtrack of the movie «Destiny» which will make him tour the media of the island. In 2013, Bazil chooses to settle down in Chicago while continuing to compose titles for his next project «High On Music», an EP made of 10 titles he composed between Paris, Kingston and Chicago. Bazil seduces in France, Jamaica and far beyond.
He records dubplate for Major Lazer and the French beat- maker Manudigital invites him on his album «Digital Pixel» then on the tour of more than 80 dates that will follow. Together, they will perform at the biggest French and European festivals such as Solidays, Dour Festival, Reggae Sun Ska, No Logo, Outlook Festival, Boomtown... At the end of 2016, «High On Music» was reissued by the X-Ray Production label, with which Bazil began the production of his next studio album.
Bazil release his «East To The West» album in 2018, on which he mixes styles again as he knows how to do it. Since the beginning of his career, the artist has frequently moved from the East to the West, drawing inspi- ration from these different round trips between Europe, North America and the Caribbean. With «East To The West», Bazil invites us to escape on a modern, urban and colorful sound but still influenced by the Jamaican culture he loves. To record «East To The West», the singer has composed himself some titles but has also appealed to several beatmakers around him such as Manudigital, Tambour Battant, S.O.A.P. or Bost. In the end, he delivers with «East To The West», an eclectic and percussive album.
At the end of 2019 Bazil just released his new album GROW, mixing urban and reggae influencing, well acclai- med by the reggae medias such as Reggaeville, featuring french talent Naâman and Natty Gong from reunion Island. The album is mixing differents genre and using some other music code such as hip-hop, trap and soul music. During the 2020 covid lockdown, Bazil release a few singles including "Cheers To The Badmind" featuring Daddy Mory, famous french reggae singer, part of the iconic french "Raggasonic" band, and share the Stage with french reggae Icon Nuttea, during some summer shows.
Bazil is back on the road in 2021 with a band and some live machines.

Bazil est tombé très tôt dans les musiques jamaïcaines et la soul. Il enregistre à 15 ans ses premiers morceaux. A 19 ans, il part vivre à New-York parfaire son anglais et fréquenter le milieu jamaïcain qui lui donne envie de découvrir l’île du reggae qu’il rejoindra deux ans plus tard. Bazil y enregistre son premier album « Stand Up Strong ». Puis, c’est à Chicago que Bazil choisit de poser ses valises tout en continuant à composer des titres en vue de son projet « High On Music », un EP composé de 10 titres réalisés par ses soins entre Paris, Kingston et Chicago.
Bazil séduit en France, en Jamaïque et bien au-delà. Il enregistre des dubplate pour Major Lazer et le beatmaker français Manudigital l’invite sur son album « Digital Pixel » puis sur la tournée de plus de 80 dates qui s’en suivra. Ils fouleront ensemble les scènes des plus grands festivals français et européens tels que Solidays, Dour Festival, Reggae Sun Ska, No Logo, Outlook Festival, Boomtown…
En Février 2018, il sort son album « East To the West », sur lequel il mélange encore une fois les genres comme il sait si bien le faire. Avec cet album, Bazil nous invite au voyage sur un son moderne, urbain, coloré mais toujours influencé par la culture jamaïcaine qu’il affectionne.
Son nouvel album intitulé "Grow" le 22 Novembre 2019. Cet album est le fruit d'un travail de composition et d'écriture avec son partenaire de live, Alexis Bruggeman. Ce nouvel album s'inscrit dans l'héritage roots reggae cher à l'artiste, tout en y incorporant des influences aussi diverses que l'afrobeat, la soul ou encore la trap. Bazil y a aussi convié deux artistes qu'il affectionne particulièrement : le mauricien Natty Gong et le français Naâman. En 2020 Bazil sors plusieurs singles pendant le confinement dont "Cheers To The Badmind" en featuring avec Daddy Mory, membre du mythique groupe de reggae français Raggasonic, et participe à quelques dates pendant lesquels il partage la scène avec Nuttea, ou le DJ Judah Roger.
Bazil reprendra la route en 2021 pour présenter son album "Grow" sur scène, accompagné de ses musiciens et live machine, et prévoit également la sortie d'un nouvel album avant 2022.
